Two Norfolk companies, Broadland Wineries, based in Cawston and Johnston Logistics UK from Snetterton say they are bucking the trend and enjoying strong growth. Working together since 2006, the two companies have seen business expand as they have adapted to changing conditions. Broadland Wineries use Johnston Logistics UK’s bonded facility as an extension of its own warehouse with Johnston Logistics UK offering seamless storage and distribution of stock to major supermarkets and high street retailers.
Storing goods under bond defers the payment of Excise Duty, which can account for up to half of the sale price of a bottle of wine, until the goods are shipped to customers.
