The site boasts a private rail siding running off the Cambridge - Norwich mainline at Eccles Road. The siding railhead was built in 1985 to handle grain but has subsequently been used to transport aggregate.
Recent months have seen increased interest from potential users keen to reduce their carbon footprint and take advantage of the location at almost the geographical centre of East Anglia being based in South Norfolk. This coincides with a planned upgrade of the site enabling longer trains to access the site and speeding up operations.
